Mtv Video Music Awards 2011: il programma della serata

Manca poco agli Mtv Video Music Awards 2011. La 28esima edizione dei VMAs sarà ospitata dal Nokia Theatre di Los Angeles. Diretta in Italia su Mtv a partire dalle 2.30 del mattino del 29 agosto, con countdown show presentato da  Selena Gomez. Prima artista ad esibirsi sul palco sarà Lady Gaga, come lei stessa ha annunciato dagli studi di Times Square di Mtv a New York. Probabilmente la perfomance di Miss Germanotta è anche la più attesa, dopo che la stessa artista italo-americana (candidata per le categorie (Best Female Video, Best Art Direction, Best Choreography, e Best Videowith Message) ha annunciato che si tratterà di un'esibizione spettacolare:  tra voci che dell'ultima ora quelle di una Gaga in topless oppure nelle vesti del suo alter ego Jo Calderone.

Presenti Adele, di Pittbull, Jassie J, Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Young The Gian e soprattutto Beyoncé, quest’ultima candidata per varie categorie (Best Female Video, Best Coreography e Best Cinematography). Regina delle nomination è invece Katy Perry con ben nove candidature.

Tanti anche i presenter, ovvero le star dello star system mondiale che consegneranno i premi ai vincitori di ogni categoria: Nicki Minaj, Taylor Lautner, Drake, Joe Jonas, Jared Leto dei 30 Seconds to Mars e Jb Smoove della serie TV ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, oltre ai "nuovi" Will Farrell, Jack Black, Zoe Saldana, Kevin Hart e Victoria Justice.

A serata inoltrata ci sarà il momento dei tributi, un po' discordanti a dire il vero. Il primo sarà dedicato ad Amy Winehouse. Saranno Adele, Tony Bennett e la stessa Lady Gaga a rendere omaggio all'artista britannica scomparsa nella sua casa londinese lo scorso 23 luglio. L'altro tributo sarà invece per Britney Spears, premiata, secondo le indiscrezione, con un riconoscimento alla carriera da Madonna.
